Proposed Scope of Practice Changes Under Ministry of Health Review

The Ministry of Health is seeking feedback on proposed changes to the scopes of practice of: pharmacists, physical therapists, registered midwives, optometrists, registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses, and audiologists

To inform our response to government, we are seeking your physician perspectives on these proposals. We will use your input to build on our existing physician-informed policy on Scope of Practice for Health Professionals (see sidebar)—the foundation of our ongoing responses to government and stakeholders on these matters.
