Health Professions and Occupations Act (HPOA) and College Bylaws Consultation

Doctors of BC continues to advocate for a pause on the Health Professions and Occupations Act (HPOA) implementation. At the same time, the BC College of Physicians and Surgeons has launched a three-stage consultation with registrants on the bylaws it is developing in response to the HPOA.

The legislation sets out the high-level requirements for professional regulation, while the bylaws outline how the College, as the regulator, will put the legislation into action.

Once all bylaws are shared, Doctors of BC will seek your input to inform development of our collective response to the College. In the meantime, we want to hear from you.
