Proposed Changes to Health Professions Regulation

Member engagement on proposed changes to health professions regulation is now closed. Key findings and themes will be shared in the near future.

Help Inform our Response to Government

Doctors of BC seeks member input to help inform our response to government on proposed changes to health professions regulation. The government's proposals are based on the recommendations of the Cayton Report, to which Doctors of BC responded earlier this year, and aim to modernize the Provincial Health Professional Regulatory Framework.

The proposals fall under four key themes:

  • College Governance
  • College Amalgamation
  • College Oversight
  • Complaints and Discipline

We are not seeking member input on all aspects of the government's paper. We have focused on the proposed changes we consider will be most relevant to our members.

Have your say

Take a few minutes to provide your feedback on the proposed recommendations and help inform Doctors of BC's response to government. Deadline for input is December 20, 2019.

Doctors of BC will provide our written submission to government in early 2020.
