College Bylaws

On March 1, 2025, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC released the first of three rounds of bylaws it has developed in response to the HPOA. The bylaws outline how the College intends to meet the requirements of the HPOA around: 

• Board Composition and Procedures
• New Committee Composition and Function
• College Records and Information Management
• New Governance Structure for Managing Permits of Health Profession Corporations
• Professional Responsibilities

On April 4, the College released its second round of bylaws that focus on:

• Blood-Borne Communicable Diseases
• Health Monitoring
• Licensure
• Quality Assurance
